Help us save "Big Hoof" Horses from shipping to slaughter
Please consider making a life saving tax deductible donation to the Big Hoof Foundation to help us save more of these precious lives.
Even a small donation can be the difference between life and death for these horses.
As a growing horse rescue group, we rely on monetary donations to keep the organization moving forward. The Big Hoof Foundation will always be transparent with how your donations are used. 100% of the money we raise goes directly to the rescued horses' bail fees, transport, feed, hay, medical bills, medications, alternative medical treatments, supplements, surgeries, etc.
Every dollar raised is for the horses!
Our ability to help these horses is only because of the generous donations from our subscribers, followers, members, supporters, friends and family! Please consider making a tax deductible donation to the Big Hoof Foundation to help us save more of these precious lives from shipping to slaughter and provide them with the care they deserve.
Thank you everyone for your continued support in saving these gentle giants! We could not be saving these lives without you!

The one item WE always need is FEED!
With 64 horses and 9 donkeys currently on the property,
donations of feed are always appreciated!

We have changed the way we are feeding the herd since we have grown so much this year.
A horse's natural diet consists of pasture grass and tender plants. The herd is now mostely eating beardless wheat and alfalfa. We feel that taking the horses to a natural diet is what is best for their gut health.
1200 pound round bales of beardless wheat are $140 each. We are going through 6 round bales every 3 days.

We also use small square bales of beardless wheat for the horses that are inside barn with special needs or horses that have just arrived to the farm. Square bales can also be purchased for $14.95 each.
The special needs horses also eat Alfa-Pro which is a complete pelleted alfalfa mixed with vitamins and minerals.
Alfa-Pro is $17.45 per bag. HF&C offers a discount if you purchase by the pallet (40 - 50 pound bags) $16.95 per bag if purchased by the pallet.
HF&C Amarillo has offered to help with anyone wanting to send a donation of Beardless wheat, Alfa Pro, etc. to the horses. When you call, tell them you are sending a gift to Big Hoof Foundation and they will add the gifts to our account.
