Running a rescue sanctuary is a labor of love, but it’s also one of the most expensive commitments you can imagine.

Every day, we care for animals who have known hardship, neglect, or abandonment. From feeding, veterinary care, and medications to shelter maintenance, fencing, and enrichment, the costs add up quickly. A single emergency vet visit or unexpected injury can be thousands of dollars. And that’s just the beginning!

Even small improvements, like new fencing or upgraded shelter, can make a world of difference for the safety and happiness of our animals but they come with a price. Every dollar we raise goes directly to the care, comfort, and well-being of our rescued residents.

Operating a sanctuary isn’t just a job, it’s a daily mission to give these incredible animals the life they deserve. And while the costs can be overwhelming, the love, joy, and healing we witness every day make it all worth it.

If you’ve ever considered supporting a rescue, know that your contribution goes straight to creating a safe, nurturing home where these animals can thrive.

Our foundation will always be transparent with where donations are going. Our board members do not receive salaries nor do donation dollars go to paying for vehicles, trailers, power bills, etc.

100% of your donations go to the horses medical care, feed, farrier, property improvements, bail from the kill pens, transport from the kill pens or anything else the horses might need.

The time has come for us to pause rescuing and start strengthening the future of our foundation.

With over 170 horses and donkeys now calling this property home, our responsibility has grown beyond rescue alone. To continue providing safe, humane, and sustainable care, we must focus on critical property improvements that will support the animals we’ve already saved and those we hope to help in the years ahead.

Our biggest and most urgent project is the renovation of our existing barn, which will include a dedicated quarantine area to protect the health of every horse on the property. In addition, we need to:

  • Construct a new 80x80 barn

  • Build more shelters in the pastures

  • Install additional waterers

  • Drill a secondary back up well to ensure reliable water access

  • Install a back up generator to the existing barn

We’ve applied for multiple grants with no success so far, and the reality is that building and construction costs are extremely expensive. Meanwhile, the daily cost of maintaining 170+ horses and donkeys, combined with the need for new infrastructure, continues to grow. These improvements are not a luxury they are essential to the long-term stability and safety of this foundation.

Keeping a sanctuary clean isn’t optional it’s essential. With so many horses depending on us every day, having the right tools on the farm makes all the difference in their health, comfort, and overall well-being.

That’s why Buddy Trailers are such a game changer for us. These powerful vacuum and dump trailer combinationsmake the job easier and save both time and money. With a Buddy Trailer, a stall can be cleaned in minutes—no fuss, no mess.

The powerful fan and 20’ impeller pulverize material as it’s collected, breaking it down while it cleans. It can also suck up moist material, helping stall floors dry out faster. The result? A cleaner barn and material that’s already broken down and ideal for making compost.

We are now actively seeking corporate sponsors, community partners, donors, and any form of support available. Financial contributions, materials, services, or connections that can help move these projects forward. Every bit of help truly matters.

This is a pivotal moment for us. With your support, we can build the facilities needed to protect the animals in our care and secure a strong, responsible future for this foundation.

Thank you for believing in this mission and standing with us.

Property Entrance Fencing Project

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be fencing the front area of our property! This is an important step in ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of our rescued horses and all the animals who call our sanctuary home.

This new fencing will:
✨ Keep our cherished horses safe while giving them more room to roam
✨ Strengthen security, creating a protected and peaceful environment for all
✨ Help us better manage pastures and provide attentive care for our residents

The front fence will include two secure entrance gates, a top rail pipe fence with a center rail, and four strands of barbed wire for added security.

Every improvement we make is part of our mission to create a safe, nurturing haven where our rescued animals can truly thrive. We’re deeply grateful for our community’s support as we continue to enhance the sanctuary and provide the loving care these animals deserve.
